I Suck!

I brought my mom's digital camera along to reunion to take some priceless shots of people I may not see again for some time. I took six pictures--three of people, three of the grounds--before the battery died. (Lest you give me the benefit of the doubt...it died on Sunday afternoon as we were getting ready to go home.)

Of those pictures, one was taken accidentally of the grass by my feet, one is of some shadows surrounding our old TA (which I've already got pictures of), and a third is an off-center shot of the quad. The highlight of the people pictures is a shot of Dave and Shaula that makes them look completely wasted, which they were not right before lunch. I snapped Mike at an angle that could not possibly have been less flattering, with an expression (he was mid-sentence) that makes him look like a scary clown. Lisa (who I see every week) appears in one very blurry picture where she is not facing the camera.

Not pictured: Karin (and fiancé Nick), Nikki (and husband Drew), Hank and Carolyn, Eva (and fiancé Matt), the other Lisa, Tim, Mee-Lise, Lory, Rob, Laura, LBA Mike, Jay, that guy I always had a crush on, or any of the other people who showed up.

That should teach me to restrict my shutterbug aspirations to amateur pornography. In the meantime, anybody have some digital snaps of the weekend you wouldn't mind sharing?

My photos are almost as sparse as yours (and I brought TWO cameras!), though I'm sure if we pool our resources we'll have a slightly better collection.

I meant to take more of course, but once I was there in the midst of things, I realized I didn't WANT to pause, to take a step back, to fish out the camera and make everybody pose. I just wanted to be in the middle of it all. Which is what happened, and which was thoroughly great.

In your defense, the photo you took of me wasn't mid-sentence. I figured just one of the shots you took should have made you jerk back in horror when you downloaded them; unfortunately, my first choice--a Bova-Denning porkfest--fell through. Hey, at least OtherLisa benefited from our debacles...

How about posting them.....
