Letters that Cross in the Mail
Sample letter from me:
Hi...We recently had a mailing to you returned by the postal service as undeliverable. Could you please confirm your mailing address?
Thanks.
-Mike
Thanks.

Sample reply, names changed to protect the criminally stupid:
DimWit@moron.net is, in fact the correct mailing address. Try again and let me know if it works! Thanks!
Cute when it happens the first time. Less so when that's the response of one in five people I write to, and I have to send hundreds of these messages daily.
I'd be sympathetic, but...why the fuck would I be writing you an e-mail if I thought your e-mail address was bad? And is there something about the phrase "postal service" that's ambiguous to you?
Perhaps I'll revise my form letter to be a little more explicit:
By this I mean your street address, you fucking dipshit.
