What You Get

Where were my boys for the WYSIWYG Talent Show last night? I could understand if none of you had showed for "Tales Of Summer Camp" or some such nonsense, but this was the fuckin' Worst Sex Ever show! By the time the sixth performer left the stage my face was frozen in a very unattractive expression from laughing so hard. And then they kept the room open and had a DJ and free Yuengling. Yeah, that was a good use of my money.

You also all missed the chance to meet Evan. He forgives you. (He brought me one long-stemmed rose for Valentine's Day. Just so I would have to carry it around all night. Asshole.) But Jen was there, and Steve, and of course Chris, Andy, and Dan. Still, Evan knew more people in the audience (and the cast) than I did. I'm nervous.

I was floored by four things after the show:

(1) I won the raffle! My prize was the IOU Game, which in fact is not a game but a set of tear-off cards redeemable for various favors from your partner. This did not work when we gave them to our parents for Mother's and Father's Days and it will not work now. Plus I was so surprised I forgot to say the line I'd reserved for the occasion, "Oooh, more things I can sell for meth!"

(2) Derek will be doing the next WYSIWYG reading. He probably told me this when I was drunk.

(3) Diana Fuckin' Eng from Project Runway will be doing the next one. How cool is that?

(4) This was the last show at P.S. 122--they've found a new location. Many tears. But this was a good note to go out on.

Wow. Almost 200 people crammed in for our last show at P.S. 122 (more on that in a moment) for our THIRD installment of "Worst. Sex. Ever." and it was fucking awesome, frankly. I'm *still* walking funny. As always, some... Read More

I was there. Saw you get the rose, by the way, which is why I didn't come say hi. You had that 'date' vibe and I didn't want to interrupt.

That's right; I saw you and waved, but the room wasn't conducive to attracting attention. (Or maybe you were studiously looking away. Saying hello would have been quite fine.)

I also saw Sam and Blaise for a nanosecond and Joe from across the room, so I shouldn't really claim to have been a stranger in the crowd.
