Dinner tonight:
- Alsatian thin crust tart with creme fraiche, onion and applewood smoked bacon
- Warm veal and goat cheese terrine with watercress
- Slow poached farm egg with Maine lobster, crosnes and sea urchin froth
- Roasted garlic gnocchi with wild mushroom, sage and crispy sweetbreads
- Gaeta olive-crusted quail with chorizo, barley, toasted almonds and pickled pearl onions
- Chocolate tarte with vanilla ice cream

I think you have a typo. You said dinner TONIGHT and surely you mean dinner THIS WEEK.

Funny, Trader Joe's has a frozen version of that first item. Until I clicked through for the full post, I thought that's what you were talking about.
Now did Dan make this for you, or did he take you out somewhere excellent?
The was the Bar Room at the Modern at MoMA. Dan has taken me out for a nice dinner around New Year's for the last few years; it's a nice tradition. (At least it is from my POV; my credit card emerges from the evening unscathed.)
