Technical Difficulties
Three issues are vexing me today:
1) One of my albums in iTunes will not accept art. Period. It's not a system-wide issue--it's exactly one album that simply does not respond when I try to paste or drag art into the front window, the Get Info screen, wherever. Is it probably a file corruption issue, or just some bad setting that I can fix? I will probably solve this one by ripping the songs again or finding them online, but it would be nice to get an answer first.
2) When I try to connect to wifi at my mom's, it reasonably asks me for her password. Less reasonably, it insists that her password must be a certain length, which it is not. (I made it something she could remember, just secure enough to keep out random nosy neighbors.) So I end up with a greyed-out "Connect" button until I type a few junk characters, which of course don't work. Is there a rationale/workaround for this? I will eventually solve this one by changing her password if necessary, but that's a pain since I'd have to do it for every computer in the house.
3) The big one: my Airport connection no longer persists after sleep. I've Googled this one to death, and nothing has worked--every single time I wake my iMac up, I have to run the diagnostic utility before it can find the same network to which it was connected a few hours earlier.
Any thoughts?

Re: 3), this reminds me of how when I upgraded my iBook to Leopard, it wouldn't stay logged into our home network, and what eventually worked for me was changing the router's configuration to use WPA instead of WEP. Don't know if that applies to your setup, but it's maybe worth a look-see.
Alas, we're already on WPA2. My roommate is loath to change it; he's big on security.
